Zender's Designers Learn from the Best
Training at New York Aveda Academy enhances
quality service at area’s top salon spaTo enhance it’s reputation as a style and service leader in the Corridor, Zender’s Salon & Spa recently sent four top designers to the prestigious New York Aveda Academy for advanced training in emerging trends, advanced hair coloring and precision cuts.
Melissa Avenson, Shannon Kindred, Melissa McTee and Allisha Wegner learned the latest in design techniques and styles from Aveda Master Designers Jon Reyman, Gerard Scarpaci, Ian Michael Black, and Jeffery Scott.
“The talent and expertise our designers brought back to the Iowa City area is unlike anything else other salons can offer,” said Zender’s Owner Donna Zender. “Aveda is at the forefront of beauty, and the training and support available to our stylists translates into a first-class experience for our guests.”
Aveda Academy advanced courses are taught by Aveda guest artists who are educators, editorial artists and salon owners from around the world. Aveda selects guest artists that are global trendsetters in technical direction, fashion and service delivery. Courses are taught at creative learning centers in Berlin, Chicago, London, New York, Toronto and Vancouver.
